An Open Letter to our Community
Dear Members of our Community, At this point you may have noticed a new business in town, Modern Theory Institute (M.T.I.). Whether you walked by our campus on your way to La Villa Bakery or stopped to get a fresh fade at The Infamous Scars and Strops, you were probably wondering what we do and who we are. M.T.I. was founded in 2017 as a passion project of two experienced Education Professionals, Jason and Steve. Although we had a soft opening in March our hope to make an immediate impact in this community was dashed. Jason, our Campus Director, shattered his leg and required, not one, but TWO surgeries. Unfortunately, this put us out of commission less than two months after we opened. The great news is - He is back and so are we! You may notice Jason around, walking with his cane, likely stopping by a Port Credit patio on a beautiful day. If you spot him, he'd love to say hello. We searched all across the GTA to find just the right community to ply our trade. It only took one visit to this area for us to fall in love with Port Credit which made our decision easy to put down roots right here in this historic and diverse area. With a number of small and large businesses and intelligent and ambitious professionals, we saw a tremendous opportunity to bring something new and vibrant that we felt was missing in this community. We're here, so what? Education is evolving and times are constantly changing, M.T.I. is at the forefront of this movement. Our goal is to make education affordable and accessible to everyone. We allow students to learn new concepts and get access to information that you may not be able to receive through the traditional education system. With our vast network of skilled professionals in Business, Healthcare, Information Technology and the Arts, we have something of value to offer everyone. M.T.I. is not just a place to come and take a course and go on your way. We are a networking and learning hub for sub-cultures within our community, including individual learners, small and large businesses, community organizations and more. By sharing our talents and skills with each other we will evolve the already rich culture of Port Credit and continue its growth. From intensive workshops designed to help businesses improve profitability to courses that will enrich the soul, we have founded M.T.I. to make a positive and lasting impact. Our mission is to assist you in whatever area that you need. We can help you acquire continuing education credits, recognized certifications, or digital badges to advance your career. We can provide you with general interest courses or catered training programs that will help you stay up-to-date and enhance your opportunities. We implore you and your staff to come visit us at 319 Lakeshore Road East. Take advantage of a free workshop and inquire about skills that you can adopt for your business. Continuous learning is the key not only for increased productivity but staff retention as well. We cannot express enough how excited we are to be part of this amazing Port Credit Community.
